Her evidence-based research has delivered major advances in healthcare from online wellbeing tools supporting nurses and midwives, to cutting-edge, pioneering skin cancer detection services in remote regions, led by specially trained nurses using AI.
She led the establishment of the Australasian Nursing and Midwifery Clinical Trials Network in collaboration with other nursing and midwifery leaders, empowering nurse and midwife-led research in Australia and New Zealand. As the inaugural director of the internationally acclaimed, award-winning Rosemary Bryant AO Research Centre, Marion leads one of the world’s foremost hubs for evidence-based nursing and midwifery research.
Beyond her research leadership, she is a dedicated mentor to students and clinical researchers alike, and an inspiring advocate for the essential, evolving role of nurses and midwives in shaping the future of healthcare.
