2005 NT Young Australian of the Year

At just 18 years of age, Daniel Bourchier's influence amongst the youth in the Tennant Creek community has been significant. His many roles have included becoming a member of the Army Cadets and St. John Ambulance Cadets, Student Representative Council and School Captain, Tennant Creek Youth Initiatives Working Group and recently Daniel was selected to become a Youth Representative on the Chief Minister's Round Table of Young Territorians. Daniel is a reporter, with articles regularly featured in the Northern Territory News, and also assists in coordination of many events through the regional Youth Week Co-ordination Committee. Daniel is focussed and passionate about his community and the youth who live within it. He is an outgoing, mature young achiever with a will to succeed and make a difference. His determination and drive make him an outstanding young Australian.
