The Minister for Youth supports the Young Australian of the Year Award
The Minister for Youth, the Hon Kate Ellis MP, is delighted to once again support the Young Australian of the Year Award, and commends the contribution young people make to Australia.
“Australia’s young people make an outstanding contribution to our country. One of the best parts of being Minister for Youth is that I get to meet active and inspirational young Australians every day. I am continuously impressed by the energy and determination displayed by our young people,” Ms Ellis said.
The Young Australian of the Year Award recognises this passion, and acknowledges those whose actions are making an impact – in their industry or in their community.
“What a fantastic way to say thanks and provide encouragement to extraordinary young Australians aged 16 to 30. I look forward to the announcement of the finalists and hearing about their achievements.”
