6 September 2011

Nominations for the Australian of the Year Awards 2012 have now closed.  However if you weren’t able to submit a nomination in time, from Wednesday 7 September 2011 you will be able to submit nominations for the 2013 Awards.
National Australia Day Council CEO, Warren Pearson said the response this year had been amazing with more nominations than ever before.

‘It’s such a buzz when we see the nominations pouring in because it shows just how many Australians are doing extraordinary things,’ he said.
‘I’m now looking forward to each of the state and territory Award presentations throughout November when 128 Australians (16 in each state and territory) will be announced as finalists and honoured for their outstanding achievements.’
