NADC Communication Manager position

4 August 2016

The National Australia Day Council’s (NADC) purpose is to inspire national pride and spirit to enrich the lives of all Australians. We achieve this by running the Australian of the Year Awards and being the coordinating body for Australia Day celebrations across the nation.

The NADC has recently recruited a new Chief Executive Officer. Under this new leadership there is an increased focus on innovation and expanding the NADC's activities to include a year-long conversation about national pride and citizenship.

The organisation has an empowered, flat structure and approach to work that encourages all team members to take active control and responsibility for their activities. There is a lot of freedom for all team members to contribute, develop and deliver ideas no matter their position within the organisation.

The NADC is seeking applications to fill the role of Communication Manager.

The role is part of the Communications Team responsible for delivering all external communication for the organisation with the aim to increase awareness of and participation in NADC activities and programs.

The Communications Manager is responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies to promote and deliver the Australian of the Year Awards, Australia Day and NADC programs. Activities will include delivering national campaigns, developing communication materials, managing stakeholders and working with sponsors, writing and editing content, contributing to social media and continuing to evolve the way we engage with audiences, particularly through digital media.

We are looking for an experienced communication professional, someone who is a confident communicator with exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You will be self-motivated with a positive and professional approach and enjoy working in a small dynamic team.
