Young Australian of the Year

   young-aoty.jpgThe Young Australian of the Year Award recognises those aged 16 to 30 who are outstanding and exceptional young Australians. The Young Australian of the Year has been awarded since 1979. 

The Minister for Youth, the Hon Kate Ellis, highlights the importance of the award. "The Young Australian of the Year Award is a great opportunity to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of young Australians who have made a substantial contribution to their communities."
