Recipient Nick Mooney is at his best acting as an interface between people and animals. If there is a wildlife issue to be dealt with, it's often Nick's face we see in the media. His vigilance has been helping save Tassie Devils from the virus that is decimating the population. His recent efforts through the "Fox Free Tasmania Task Force" have been instrumental in slowing the spread of foxes, the worst of all feral pests for our wildlife balance. |
