Recipient Elizabeth Penney runs the Red Cross shops in Elizabeth North selling second hand clothing, bric-a-brac and second hand furniture. She spends most of her week and every Saturday in the shops. She uses her car to collect merchandise and unloads the stock at home. Elizabeth doesn't get paid a cent, not even for out-of-pocket expenses. However, she still continues to give so much to her community. |
